And To All A Good Night!

There will be a lot of folks up very late tonight wrapping presents and trying to figure out how to make the B connection installed orientation into slot C rotated 180 degrees from base A.

With that in mind, the 2007 Christmas Eve cartoon from Discipline And Desire:

Hopefully you can find comfort in knowing you are not alone, and get some groovy ideas for stress relief!

And, just for the heck of it, here's the first pencil work-out sketch of that cartoon:

And you can still take advantage of what I'm cornily calling the Howl-A-Day Sale!   It goes on until January 1st-- just think of the fun you could have during the commercial breaks with the other big people who have come over to watch the Bowl Games!!

  5. Mr. Wolfe, Thanks for the wonderful toon,I think all husbands have been in situation, I know I have, got into trouble with my better half one year for getting my daughters bike messed up , oh live and learn, pay the store the extra money to assemble it, I wanted to share a spanko Christmas memory with you, a couple of years ago a spanking group that I belong to decided to have a Xmas party, I was asked to play Santa, so I went and bought the Santa suit, and showed up for the party, when I got there I was presented with a naughty girls list which consisted of about twenty brats names, I was to go and fetch each one bring them up on the main stage and spank them ,whew! A tough job but someone had to do it, the women were great sports, and everyone had a fun time, I kept the list and framed it, I look at it now and then and smile , Merry Christmas to you and everyone, your toon bought a smile to my face , its the kind of spanking I love to do, fun! Your Friend BOB

  7. And thank you, Erica, for all the humor (sarcastic and otherwise), all the good sense, compassion and companionship you bring! John was in rare form at the family party; I hope the two of you have a magical weekend!

Yes, Bob, it is indeed always worth the extra money to have the hands of the practiced professionals put the bikes together, fix the plumbing and the automotive gadgets! So-- twenty spankable brats, eh? Now you know why Santa's so jolly this time of year!! Thanks for the story, and the compliments!

HIYA, Dev!! Thank you, and you enjoy the holiday, too! By the way, my next post is about pastiches, and I wanted to alert folks to the ones you have on your blog; my favorite is the Sherlock Holmes tale!

  9. Whenever I see the word 'pastiche' I always think of Welsh 'pasties' which are utterly delicious and not at all good for you, I'm sure. Also, I always have to look up the word, because although I've done quite a few of them, I never know they're called that.

This is from Widipedia's entry of 'pastiche' ---
In this usage, the term denotes a literary technique employing a generally light-hearted tongue-in-cheek imitation of another's style; although jocular, it is usually respectful.
For example, many stories featuring Sherlock Holmes, originally created by Arthur Conan Doyle, have been written as pastiches since the author's time.

So there you are, Dee Dubya. I'll be fascinated to see what you come up with. ;-)

  10. That should be Wikipedia, not Widipedia.

  11. Thank you very much, Michael! I hope you had a grand holiday yourself!

'Sokay, Dev, I read Typo-- and write it even better! That is indeed a good definition of "pastiche," although I'm always interested in pastry!
