Wolfie's Screwing With Other People's Art Again!

But only in the spirit of fun, just for grins, and making sure everyone knows it is NOT the original!

You've seen this a lot of times, I bet, but not like this!

That had been the "splash page" for Sensation Comics #31, published in the summer of 1944, for the story "Grown-Down Land!"

I decided to see what it would look like if WW was wearing more abbreviated briefs, 1960's style,  with more curves showing!

The art was by Harry G. Peter (I know, I know, shut up) with the writing from William Moulton Marston.  In case you've ever been curious about the story, "Comic Vine" gives this synopsis:

Wonder Woman saves the Modern kids from their parents (because they don't like children), and when the kids don't wake up from sleeping, the Amazon Princess joins the kids in sleep and enters the kids’ dreamworld, called Grow-Down Land. Here Wonder Woman eventually helps bring the Modern family together by showing the parents how to act like children.

That's pretty typical Marston!

What Tha?

Once before (in fact, here!) I facetiously suggested that Kurt Schaffenberger could have made that (in)famous Lois Lane comic book spanking panel sexier.

But, all seriousness aside, they deliberately didn't.  First of all, their target audience in 1960 was mostly young youngsters, and besides, they were going for the Lucille Ball sitcom type humor, not the Jane Mansfield Burlesque sort.

Nevertheless, all these decades later, some misguided miscreant has altered the original art to see what it might have looked like if responsible adults hadn't been in charge.

Tsk!  Honestly.

(Surreptitiously wipes paint off his paws)

Here, I'd better present the art as intended and published, to prevent the salacious seduction of the innocent.

Good Night, Irene! I Mean, Lois!

Nightie spanking is really cute and sexy, no?

I've always thought so, even at age ten, when I stumbled upon this scene in a reprint of "Three Nights In The Fortress of Solitude!"

You've seen that picture before, but if you want the full context, I explained it all in this early and goofy WolfieBlog post .

But, you know, it always kinda bugged me that the panel didn't look like this:

(I generally frown on cartoon alteration, but that's because it's almost always done so badly, and the perpetrator rarely admits the deed!  Then people think the original cartoonist couldn't draw!  Well, I admit the changes here!  I dood it!!  And pretty well, eh?)

Probably artist Kurt Schaffenberger, or his editor, or the Comics Code Authority censors decided my version would be a little too sexy instead of Lucille Ball humorous.

Because Kurt was never shy about gluteal anatomical details in other contexts

and even in this scene, drawn about eight years after Lois fell over the Superman Robot Guard's knee!

But, that's a boy!!

Only Li'l Iodine, Little Audrey, Little Dot, Little Lulu, Little Lotta and other Little Girls ever got spanked on the seat of their panties in full view of their comics reading audience;  the Big Girls never did, in American Comics.  But wouldn't it have been cute if Lois had?

And just imagine the furor that would have erupted if it had looked like this?!

But we can dream now, can't we?

Wild, wicked Wolfie.

Some Crummy Composites!

Here's Pa Kent trying to spank Wonder Woman!

When I wore a younger Wolfie's togs

(Hey, it's little Wolfie Wolfe, the Horniest Boy on Earth!!)

and there was no Internet, in fact, no personal computers, four over-the-air broadcast TV channels, and comic books on newsprint sold at the "Dime Stores" for twelve to twenty-five cents, Spanking Stuff was fairly hard to come by.

Being of a creative cartooning bent, I most often made my own!

One of the most frequent tricks was to take my Tracing Paper and select comics in which some heroine was presented in a spankable pose, and then try to find a Spanker to match!  That wasn't so easy, and I'd usually have to improvise.

But now I can slap together stuff like this:

Kal-El spanking his little cousin Kara!

And, now on the giving side, Supergirl spanking Wonder Girl!

And, just to be odd, Supergirl spanking herself.  Her older self.

I may recreate more tracing paper follies from my youth later.

That would include what I thought was a more satisfying second panel to this "Fantastic Four" sequence featuring the Thing versus Marvel Girl!!
