Halloween Characters!

I'm an ardent admirer of cartoonists Mort Drucker, Jack Davis, Marie Severin, Tom Richmond, Angelo Torres, and other names most folks don't know but that have or had truly remarkable skill at humorous caricatures.

I don't!  But, from time to time, I've tried my paws at it, and the results have been mixed.

So, just for the Halloween of it, here are some seasonal attempts!

And if you care to guess at any of these, I'll be delighted, and may just decide to come back anyway and interrupt!

Something New From WOFY-TV! Or, Here's A Real Over-The-Knee Slapper!

So how ya doin' with all this, Binky?

Are your best beloved beginning to become too bothersome to bear?

Have your favorite foods lost their luster?

Is even FaceTime with Gramma taking a discouraging turn?

Well, fret not, faithful friend (or feckless foe), a respite is here!

Just tune your personal TV receivers--

any model--

to WOFY-TV

and thrill to a lost Beach Monster classic from 1962!!

Yes, 1962, when Poodles wore People Skirts

and Wolfman Jack was spinning the hits on your car radio

and girls wrestled gorillas in the Passion Pit (the Drive-In Movie Theater)

And sparkling clean dishes put a sparkle in everyone's eyes!

Ladies and Gentlemen, in 3D, if your glass is full enough--

Hm, I think that's Larken obstructing my view of the--

Well, you know what, I don't think I mind.

Well, anyway, I hope these chuckles helped!

Remember, it could always be worse!!

Facing the Music, Or, Who Was That Unmasked Man?

Here's something to help with the Holiday Mood!

Christine knew better than to pull the mask off the Ol' Lone Ranger.

I mean, the mysterious Phantom.

But whatever she expected to find under there, I bet she didn't expect to find herself in this position!

Then again, he has been her secret music tutor, and she'll remember this lesson, for sure.

And Erik's baton might mark something besides tempo.

She's certainly hitting those high notes now!

EEK!

Didja know there are WolfieToons over on PINTEREST?

Well, there are, and it was Larken's idea!  Thank you, m'lady!

One of the things that pleases and amuses me about that is that a lot of the women over there who "like" and share my cartoons also feature boards on their Pinterest Pages about puppies and kittens and babies, fab clothes, recipes, travel photos, makeup tips, shoes, et al.

Often as not, we spankophiles tend to "partition" our interests on-line.  In my case, it's to avoid embarrassment for my young and/or uninitiated relatives, because otherwise,  I'm rather proud of my WolfieWork!  Most of it, anyway.

So it's refreshing to see these young women, moms, and grannies put it all up there, as if to say, "I have lots of personality facets, and some of them are sexual and humorously kinky!  So there!"

I mentioned this to Larken, who said, "There should be a word for that, you know, like Spanknilla!"

That's brilliant!  I'm going to start using it.

And, of course, "Spanknilla," to me, sounded something like--

Frankly, My Dear

Frankenstein is probably my favorite feature creature.

Or, if you haveta go all "The Big Bang Theory" Sheldon, yes, properly, it's "The Frankenstein Monster."

There have been many, many attempts in the last eight decades to reconceive the Monster, but director James Whale, star Boris Karloff, and make-up maestro Jack Pierce set forever how everyone envisions him in the 1931 movie from Universal Pictures..

If you've never seen the first two movies, especially "The Bride of Frankenstein," you're in for a treat when you do.

You probably have seen these:

(Those are still a couple of my personal favorites!)

And here are my last two takes on the Universal Frankenstein*-- Enjoy!

(*I don't know if that means, "the final ones I'll do," or "the latest ones I did."  Time will tell, time will tell.)
