Uniformity

And Lo!  Another school year is upon us!  And to celebrate, here is a "Discipline and Desire" WolfieToon from six years ago:

Speaking of  "Discipline and Desire",  and characters in uniform, this week's update features a new WolfieToon with a new adventure strip character:

(Any resemblance to any other colorful adventure strip characters is strictly coincidental and parodic in nature.)

There are five snappy snippets of the stories "D&D" members get this week to whet your appetite, and two entirely free "D&D" story chapters for everyone to enjoy that may involve even more wetness!  ("Can I get a wetness?!")

Barbara tells you the first part of "Beth's Story," and Mandy Rogers details some of "The Appalachian Cure!"

Enjoy, and be on time for class, or else-- YOU know!!

  1. Lol, great toon! Rulers are nice in theory but about as likely to snap as a yardstick when it comes down to some spanking action. Or so I hear... ;-)

  2. Thanks, Lea!

"Snapping Yardsticks!" could be my new exclamation of surprise! Funny you should mention those rumors, Larken was recently telling me about similar rumors about paint sticks!

  3. Larken, you have to ask for the paint sticks for the five gallon buckets, not the little ones. Err, or so I've heard.

Dave, I often wondered where my school uniform was. *shudders* Funny cartoon, thanks.

  4. Eep! Rulers are for calculating geometry homework and drawing straight lines, DW, not calculating naughtiness and straightening out Imps in school uniforms! And there is no need for any empirical research to determine the velocity and force required to split a paint stick. Or a ruler. [Or a yardstick. What is it with you and Michael and sticks this week? :-) ]

Kaki! Why would I ASK for paint sticks?! The little one is wicked enough! ;-)

    Great toon, DW! ;-)

  5. Sorry, Larken, I misunderstood. I thought Dave said you were complaining that the paint sticks broke too easily. Ok, all Tops, pretend I didn't say anything about those big paint sticks.
You should be ok now, Larken. :-)

  6. Whew. Thanks, Kaki. For a minute I thought you had the keys to the bus. :-) Let's talk about bread sticks and swizzle sticks and cinnamon sticks and lipstick, and stuff like that, and hope that Toppy short term memory loss kicks in soon. ;-)

  7. Well, Kaki and Larken, you know what they say about giving an Imp an inch...

(Or giving a mouse a cookie, for that matter!)

Anyway, I'm sure we can bestir ourselves to find a solution to your sticky problem, so that, Measure for Measure, All's Well That Ends Well.

Hi, Wordsmith! Many thanks, and I'm glad everyone's liking the 'toon!

  8. This will teach Mom to get her own school uniform, especially since Dad provided his own tweed jacket!

On the ruler/paintstick question, it's true that rulers break easily (Dr. Cylon has practically made a career of drawing scenes of rulers breaking on bare bottoms). A sturdy school paddle would seem a desirable addition to Mom and Dad's toybag. Paintsticks can be surprisingly effective. A hint: make one out of oak. It won't break so easily and packs quite a sting!

  9. Yes, Web-Ed, wasn't it nice of Pop to provide his own costume for this? He's such a tweedy!

I take it you have the empirical evidence Larken mentioned regarding paintsticks, then-- and a nicely equipped paddle-making shop! Do you take commissions on those??

    And thanks many!!

  11. Thanks, Ron! I did it quite a while ago, and the problems with the perspective bother me when I see it now :-D but the gag is pretty darn good, and her cute li'l pink bottom, too!

  12. Not sure you mean about the perspective but we did this scene a few times years ago when our daughter was in catholic school in fact we still have her uniform stored away. I may ask for it to come out of storage. It is a funny human drawing. And real to dome of us.
    Regards
    Ron
