Honey Don't!!

For this week's WolfieToon at "Discipline and Desire," I snagged the title of Carl Perkins's rockabilly hit "Honey Don't"

Carl did great stuff!  So great, in fact, that his Sun Records "stablemate," that Presley kid, covered "Blue Suede Shoes," and later, there were four lads from Liverpool in love with American Rock 'n' Roll, and the Sun Records guys in particular, who did a fine cover of "Honey Don't,"  letting their drummer do the lead vocal!

However, I'm not sure if this gal is staying on key.

She is staying on knee.

HAR!!

Hey, Shannon Stevens is a punster after my own heart, as you can see from the title of her story "Smoking the Bare (Only You Can Prevent Fires!)"  And you can read the first chapter by clicking on them thar blue letters!

You will also learn, from the second free "D&D" chapter this week, Great Aunt Trudy's Words To Live By in "The Eight Wisdoms" by Oona West.  And watch out for Trudy's yardstick.

  1. I never liked being spanked in front of my pet either. They're like people too! Lol.

    1. Yes, they are, Lea, and they will TELL!! The dogs are guileless, they don't mean anything, they're just trying to figure out what's going on by asking everyone. The cats, now, the cats are telling tales!! Good thing nobody else speaks Cat.

Which all relates to the NEXT post, coming up next on most of these Wolfie Stations!

  2. That song was on the first Beatles album I ever bought - in mono, because stereo cost $1 more - and I will forever associate it with Ringo.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane:)

    1. You're welcome, Hermione!

The first Beatles record we had was "4 By The BEATLES!" a 45 my sister got for her birthday. (The puzzled kids will have to go Yahoo "45") It had four songs, two on each side, and "Honey Don't" was one of 'em!

So for you and everyone, here's the link to the BEATLES VERSION!

  3. Haha! We've done some spanking with one of the cats in the room. He didn't flee, but with each loud smack, his body twitched! LOL

    1. Hey, you know what would be funny, Sarah? For a spank so loud your kitty does a somersault!! Well-- *I* think it would be funny! :-D

I know lots of people rooting for Kentucky! I did a WolfieToon once where "Sweet Sixteen" and "Final Four" took on a whole new meaning! Don't remember if I called it "March Madness" or not. Probably not.

  4. This is exactly the reason I have mini blinds, curtains and drapes on my windows downstairs.

Our female dog will watch a spanking, she's even moved to get a better view. If she could pop popcorn I think she would. ;-)

    Great cartoon, Wolfie.

Not only that, Kaki, she wrote and told me she'd send me a picture if she could get her doggy paws to work the camera. Nothing so far.

      Thanks!!
