Oh, Puh-lease, Pinterest.

Hi, Kids!  Wicked Wolfie here!

A while back, I put up three boards on Pinterest, just to spread the joy.

One featured a bunch of my WolfieToons,  one has WolfieToons with famous cartoon character parodies, and the third board is cartoon spankings done by others from all over the Web.

So I got this note:

(Snicker.)

Well, first of all, scrolling down this blog, you've seen for yourself how horribly explicit my cartoons are!  Gasperoonies!!

But, okay, maybe Pinterest is a Vanilla Place where kids play, and one doesn't want them accidentally running into wicked Wolfie work and maybe trying to copy that behavior in the playroom.

So let's do a search and get a random-sample look at what is A-OK with the Pinterest People:

"Sons of Anarchy" sex, that's legit.

That's kinky, but maybe not "explicit."

Oops, Bunny Girl Parts!  But, that's a cartoon, so maybe it doesn't count.

Well, you can't actually SEE her vagina there.

That's only simulated bondage for selling things, nothing amiss
.

Hm, more spanking, but these are very cartoony types, Pinerest probably just doesn't want depictions of more realistic-looking couples.  Oh, wait.

And this here's just rowdy college hijinks, nothing to worry about!

It's not like it's a corruption of wholesome Disney-type images or anything.

Hey, look, Someone's passing around a WolfieToon with the Wolfie Name taken off!  Tsk.   That's a spankable offense if I ever saw one.

By the way, it really looks like this:

And the point of that is, there are already cartoons shared from my deleted board flying all over Pinterest!  Like these:

And a lot more!

And, as I mentioned, THIS CARTOON CHARACTERS SPANKING BOARD and THIS SPANKING CARTOON COLLECTION are both still up and thriving.

So, look:  It's your house, Pinterest People, you can set whatever rules you want, and it doesn't bother me in the least.  But let us be consistent and fair, across the Pinterest Boards.

(Update Oct 15th-- I put up "DAVE WOLFE'S WOLFIETOONS" just to be a pain in the pin-- we'll see what happens!)

  1. Way to g Dave and thanks for kicking back at Pinterest.
Blogger sent out a similar directive a few years ago and quickly reversed it so hopefully they will do the same.

    1. Ha! I appreciate that, Glenmore, thank you! Yes, this sort of thing happens now and again around the Web, and I'm more amused than annoyed! At some point I'll probably "rebuild!"

  2. You are so right about Pinterest. There is no consistency. I have some boards with super naughty pins that never get noticed while other pins are getting removed. I think the copyright removal should be taken more seriously. You should get credit for your great artwork.

    1. Thank you very much, Blondie! Yes, there is wild inconsistency on every website, YouTube, Blogger, et al. As I indicated, I can understand them wanting to protect themselves from expensive and bothersome litigation and bad publicity from irate parents and bored prudes, but that requires strict and equal enforcement, involving a lot of time and people, and therefore, money.
And thanks too, for your praise and protective stance for my cartoonery. No one has gotten away with much regarding them!

  3. What a bunch of total f-upd hypocrites! My guess is that someone came across your boards and did not like what they saw. Which is funny given how the search paremeters are used.

I am glad that you rammed that hypocrisy right back down their throats!

    1. Well, thank you, Loki. As a matter of fact, I was wondering if someone had taken umbrage to my new cartoon with the gal's dress seat worn through. If so, they should put it back. Umbrage is quite the commodity these days.

  4. I had the same issue, I saved loads of pins and uploaded some of my own but all my boards were set to private so nobody could see them bar me. That was not good enough. I pushed back to Pinterest but they were non apologetic and annoyingly could not show me the pins that they disapproved of. Basically a lottery and I don't use it any more. Like you I found I could find much more explicit pins on other boards that didn't get suspended.

    1. Indeed, Andy! There's a lot of "social media" I don't bother with-- Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Etc., Etc., Etc.-- for lack of interest and/or time spent pursuing other things. Hey, I don't even have a cell phone! I do have indoor plumbing, but no cell phone.
And yes, as you mentioned, their "propriety policies" are very haphazardly enforced, I suspect because there's just too much to patrol unless there's a complaint that might wind up costing them money or their reputation, which could lead to loss of revenue.
So I really don't take it personally, although I might if it had cost ME money!
Thanks very much for your remark!!

    1. Glad you did, Ron! As a matter of fact, the corner cartoon had showed up on somebody's video collage on YouTube! That may or may not still be around!
