Bet you've seen the MGM Tom & Jerry cartoon from 1948, "Professor Tom," in which the big cat fails to teach the little tomcat Topsy how to be a ferocious mouser. In fact, at one point, Topsy happily releases Jerry Mouse, earning a hard spanking from Tom until Jerry come to the rescue by breaking Tom's tail.
If perchance you haven't seen the actual cartoon, you've probably run across the GIF all over the Web.
Well, I thought it would be a lot more fun if Tom took a post-graduate coed in hand instead of the little tomcat. Let's call her Patty Plushbottom. Behold!

Thanks, Red, 'tis!! Now someone might wonder, "where is her tail?" But I followed the example of Messrs. Hanna and Barbera who directed an animated cartoon in which Tom pulls up short on the beach, mesmerized by the curves of a cute cat lying on her tummy in her bikini-- and no visible tail!

ReplyDeleteYou have a good memory, Loki! Tom had a "type!" There were quite a few white curvy kitties that caught his eye in the cartoons and comics! The one you're thinking of was named Toots, in a six page comic book story by John Stanley! I showed the last page On This Cartoon Cuties Wolfie Post, and Richard Windsor has the whole story for you

DeleteAn excellent improvement with your creative edit, Dave. I always thought it a shame the occasional shapely female cats in the series escaped any attention to their behinds while Tom was always beaten from head to toe. Oh, and on your new version I hope that pesky mouse will mind his own business and Tom is able to fully carry out the spanking.
