Wolfie Well Wishes!

May Spring, Passover, and Easter bring you Joy.  Here's some whimsy from "Discipline And Desire" 2008.

And here's what that cartoon looked like in the womb:

(Edit --  It's such a hoot to see WolfieToons translated into French!  Have a look at Stan /E's entry  at "Au Fil des Jours!"  Thanks, Stan!)

  5. Excellent! That's what the world needs more of - indignant Easter Rabbits encouraging the laying down of the law. Justice and red girl bottoms shall prevail.

  7. WOW, kids! "Thank you for this marvelous display of effusion." Let's see now--

Yo, Veronica! Thanks-- and I think you'd make a pretty cute bunny yourself!!

Hi, Libby! As a matter of fact, yes, there IS a WolfieToons Coloring Book! It was the brainchild of "D&D" editor Reesa Roberts, after seeing some of my uncolored line art! She'll be tickled pink to have you asking about it! You can get the instant download or an actual paperback version at this link! And if any of your work can be scsnned and posted, I'd be honored and delighted to see it, and put it up here, too!!

Happy Easter, Jade! Lots of love back! I hope you have the best time ever, and mind you don't get chocolate fingerprints all over your clothes, or-- well, YOU know!! :-D

Hey, Bob! Yeah! I thought E.B. should have the most dramatic entrance possible; I considered him blowing the door off the hinges, but scaled it back! And, oh yeah, our Imposter is one spankable bunny indeed!

Yep, Dev, the fella sporting such snappy sartorial splendor (as Erica points out) stands for Truth, Justice and Vigorous Play, and, as such, is modeled a bit on Joe Shuster's original Clark Kent!

You're right, Erica, if a well-adjusted and secure guy can't have fun in his PJs, the world is too sad a place! :- Y'know, I'd forgotten the Rich butler's name! E Cad!

  9. I am suppose to be on diet but have been staring at the Easter eggs that has been on display, well, I think from just after Christmas. I am sulking.

Love the cartoon, but in my mind it should be the other way around. He is suppose to deliver chocolates - why did I get carrots?? (GRIN)

    Hugs

  10. Hee... not to put put too fine a point on it, Raven, but maybe he thought you'd more fun with carrots?

And yet chocolate is a wonderful thing, in moderation. Women seem to have a stronger reaction to it than we fellas, nevertheless, I am a big fan. And the more chocolate, the bigger my fan, ba-da-BOOM!

  13. Happy Easter to you!
I am glad a girl does not have to be good to get chocolate at Easter- I would be ok, obviously but I like it that the naughty girls get nice things too.
I am unable to send hugs as I am a Brit.

  14. I can't imagine, Poppy, who the "naughty girls" of which you speak might be, and I'm sure the finest of chocolate helped you celebrate!

And British reserve or not, I feel hugged, and I thank you warmly, and kiss your hand!

  16. Thanks, Ron! Yes, he sent away specially for that, customizing the size, shape, color and a material they CLAIM (it has never actually been tested) couldn't be broken, even by Erica Scott.

  17. Hiya, Dave, I always forget to check back for responses when I comment on things.
Someone's buying your coloring book for me...yay! the reason I asked about twitter is because a bunch of girls "get together" on twitter on Wednesday nights and color. I mentioned your book and lots of them expressed interest. It might be worth setting up an account...

  18. What a wonderful thing, Libby! That sounds like a tremendously relaxing, creatively restoring social gathering!

And I'm happy for the interest in the book, too-- I hope it brings lots of enjoyment! Thank you lots!

  19. I love this!

I've wondered, though, just where did the pink bunny suit originate? It seems like we're always seeing pink bunnies, but I've never seen a real pink bunny ever. (Not that I'm complaining. I'm a fan of pink things.)

    Great work, Dave!

  20. That's a very good question, Pink, and perhaps the future topic of a research blog. "How Do Bunnies Turn Pink?"

    Thanks!!
