Quite Possibly the Stupidest Cartoon I Ever Did
Michael wanted to see this. He'll be more careful of his wishes next time.
Dear Dave , wonderful, wonderful, I dont really like dog things, talking dogs in the movies, etc. but I got to say this pack of canines are really cool, great toon, I dont know if you are a fan of " Family Guy" , but they had a universe where the roles of humans and dogs were reversed, I would love to see that obedience school, thanks again your friend BOB
DW, I LOVE this WolfieToon! Not silly at all. Maybe surreal and too much of a look inside the workings of your mind, but that is a good thing. :)
I love the little beagle scolding the OTK gal wagging his paw in her face. And as Kaki pointed out very sly of you slipping in that chihuahua munching on the taco. And I also noticed the name of the obedience school - Scarlet Rose - after your very own. Nice touch. :)
hardspankinred, I saw that 'Family Guy' and it was hilarious. Gotta love Brian.
Erica, the devil, check ✓ that, the wolfie is in the details.
Zelle, great mental image of Fin training you and putting you through your paces. But I guess that is sort of like it is now.
Aha! So, Kaki and Zelle, your dogs might give ya a lickin', huh?! I'm glad you could see that was a taco and not corn-on-the-cob. :-D
I think I missed that "Family Guy," Bob, although I did see Brian swat Lois on the butt!
Hey, Erica, what if New Guy shows up in dog suit Monday?? That would start some talk, huh? But all seriousness aside, it's too bad the apartments rule out pets, because you and cats and dogs go really well together!
Yes, Mike, there is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission... and whether that's really a good thing is debatable. :-D
Anyway, thank you all, I'm glad you got giggles from this in spite of your better judgment. :-D
I've a horrible feeling my little spaniel, who I mentioned over on B&T as too small to spank me would be alongside the beagle, giving the spanking a thumbs up, and the cats would be hanging out the upper windows. Really silly and seriously funny DW!
Yes indeed, Mike, they still sell "E Tickets" in WolfieLand!!
LSW, thank you, and maybe I should do some other Woofie Toons, eh?
dd, thanks, too! Silly is a good thing, and an essential element in overcoming the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. By the way, I'm absolutely sure your cats would enjoy the show, and you little spankiel could perhaps take advantage of size-equalizing implements!
I am hiding this from my dogs. They are huge and could quite easily overpower me if it occurred to them. I love this cartoon. You are so talented and you are a wolfe which will always make a girl have a pitter patter heart.
my favorite part is the young lady being escorted in for her "paper training" by what are obviously "guard" dogs:P. great idea for a toon. love it! thanks, phil
This wasn't stupid at all - perhaps it was done for "Be kind to animals week" back then. Yes, the chihuahua with the taco was a clever reference to the most creative and intelligent ad campaign Taco Bell ever did. Needless to say, like every other creative and intelligent ad campaign, it didn't last long before it was yanked by the idiots on Madison Avenue.
Ah, how I love to hear the pitter-patter of little Poppy hearts! Thanks, Darlin'! And not to cast aspersions upon canine cognitive ability, but if the pooches do get the role reversal idea, it's more than likely the cat put 'em up to it!
Hiya, Phil! Yes, the right and left guards are putting the backfield in motion, and now my arm hurts from trying to twist that wisecrack into shape. But I'm glad you got a great grin from the 'toon! 'Preciate it!!
And thank you, Web-Ed! Yeah, the problem with EVERY ad campaign is that the Mad Men never ever learn to do a joke once, and then stop. They run the damned thing into the ground! By the way, I'm linking to "Chicago Spanking review" and "Spanking Panels" next blog, which will be called, "Betty, Veronica, Dan DeCarlo, and Wolfie."
Thanks, Hermione! I remember one of your blog entries about those pups and their papa!
I really had decided this was one of the goofiest cartoons ever, and it might be, but what a delightful surprise that it actually provoked so many laughs and comments!
and the little chihuahua is eating a taco, love the fine details, now I just need to make sure the dog doesn't see this. cute cartoon, Wolfy.

ReplyDelete(laughing!) I don't think it's stupid! And yes, the details are hilarious.
ReplyDelete"WOOF WOLFIE!"
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! But then, I am a dog lover, and my dog owns me... so sometimes.. he makes me feel like I've just been spanked! ROFLMAO!

DW, if you're controlling the television set and transmissions...well, to quote Bette Davis, "Fasten your seat belts, we're in for a bumpy ride."
ReplyDeleteAdorable, and not silly at all.

LOL - that cartoon is a scream! My dogs barely come up to my knees but they are capable of spanking me. The evil creatures take after their dad!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Hermione
