"Blimey, it's hot in here, Bruce!"
"Hot enough to boil a monkey's bum!"
"That's a strange expression, Bruce!"
"Well, Bruce, I heard the Prime Minister use it. 'It's hot enough to boil a monkey's bum in here, Your Majesty!' he said, and she smiled quietly to herself."
"She's a good Sheila, Bruce, and not at all stuck up!"
And, speaking of toasty buns:
I love filling in tan lines !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Glen'! Coloring has become quite the popular hobby these days!
DeleteIt is raining, here in Belgium, at the moment. Are You Jealous? :)
ReplyDeletePrefectdt
:-D Actually, Prefectdt, I'm happy for you! In my hometown, it has rained a lot this summer; sometimes it has cooled things off, but it has also just made steam!
DeleteI love the cartoons, but thanks for the memory of the Bruces' conversation, and the poor melting kitteh!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Hermione
Thanks very much, Hermione!! Fortunately, someone gave the kitteh a few licks from a vanilla (?!) ice cream cone, which restored him to as solid a form as cats ever get!
DeleteWe will now join the faculty of Woolloomooloo in a chorus of the Philosophers Song!
It's pretty hot where I am too. The weather people have just issued a "stay safe in the coming heat" warning to all the residents. I am 50 years old and we have NEVER EVER had this warning. This is the first time they've had to issue a public service announcement about heat. Ahem, I live on an island on the equator. Heat seems to be par for the course! But when they start sending out warnings you know it's gonna get hot hot HOT!
ReplyDeleteHeat warnings at the equator do sound dire, Fondles! Warmed-up bottoms can be lots of fun, but that sounds ridiculous!
