It Must've Been A Great Weekend!
I wasn't at Comic-Con, but this might have happened:
And I bet you can't tell, but the Emcee is a psuedo-caricature of young Tom Baker.
Another great illustration Wolfe! Well done. I love Carol's (as Alice)matching, top and bottom, blushing cheeks. Nice word play as always with the name references, but I am confused on what is Godzilla doing and have in his hands, a syringe and a blade? What am I missing? Best, Enzo
Well, if a drawing is unclear, it's the cartoonist's fault! The Emcee in the Godzilla suit is holding a wireless mike and reading from a card!
A slight change in perspective might have helped. I'm thinking of including this in a WolfieToon in a book collection of new cartoons and some old ones, so if I do, I can tweak it a bit to make it clearer! Thanks!
And I'm glad you enjoyed the 'toon and Carol's cute cheeks!
I think the card angle is what is confusing and then the shape of the mic was not easily recognizable as a "traditional mic; again it is probably my confusion alone. Minor comments on an otherwise excellent executed illustration.
And thank you, Enzo-- communication is key in a cartoon-- and, come to think of it, just about everything else!-- so it's good to know what bits, even if tiny, went awry and could be fixed for a later presentation! I appreciate the input and compliments a lot!
