If You Want Your Fanny Tanned~!

Everyone knows those famous little bare buns.  Did you know that was the work of Joyce Ballantyne?

Joyce did lots and lots of art, everything from paper dolls to pin-us!  Wonderful pin-ups like these:

Even advertising pin-ups the women would like!  Oh, yes, and some guys, too.

Here's an evocative number from a tire ad!

Here's Joyce celebrating her accomplishments in her later years:

She was sometimes miffed that ALL anyone ever wanted to talk to her about was the Coppertone Girl-- who, by the way, was modeled by Joyce's own daughter!

Naturally, that ad has been copied and parodied a million times or more, like this one Kylie Minogue and Company did:

But with the appearance of thongs and whatnot, some women actually want tanned bottoms!

Which was the idea behind this  "DISCIPLINE & DESIRE" WolfieToon from 2008:

Now to round this entry out (heh!) a couple more bare beach bums burning!

Ooh, here's a familiar pair!

Pranksters meets Spanksters

These are the first two April Fool's cartoons I did for "DISCIPLINE & DESIRE."  Surprisingly, I don't seem to have done many others in my nearly ten years tenure!

There is a new one over there this week with a giant spider, he says teasingly.

A Musical Interlude From My Formative Years

Let's celebrate Spring with real dances from the 60's done at a hotel and casino that's been torn down with a guitar guy nobody knows!!

Here's Boby Vee doing an even older tune about Baby Faces,  because The Night Has A Thousand Eyes.
And now Nancy Sinatra and her girls prance in boots.  Wowsers!
And some girls hail a cab with flippy skirts.  They must think I'm driving.
(For cultural reference, I'm told "Scopitones" were 16mm films that played in a sort of video jukebox in nightclubs back in the Days of Yore.  I was around then, but they wouldn't have let me into the clubs.)

Some Crummy Composites!

Here's Pa Kent trying to spank Wonder Woman!

When I wore a younger Wolfie's togs

(Hey, it's little Wolfie Wolfe, the Horniest Boy on Earth!!)

and there was no Internet, in fact, no personal computers, four over-the-air broadcast TV channels, and comic books on newsprint sold at the "Dime Stores" for twelve to twenty-five cents, Spanking Stuff was fairly hard to come by.

Being of a creative cartooning bent, I most often made my own!

One of the most frequent tricks was to take my Tracing Paper and select comics in which some heroine was presented in a spankable pose, and then try to find a Spanker to match!  That wasn't so easy, and I'd usually have to improvise.

But now I can slap together stuff like this:

Kal-El spanking his little cousin Kara!

And, now on the giving side, Supergirl spanking Wonder Girl!

And, just to be odd, Supergirl spanking herself.  Her older self.

I may recreate more tracing paper follies from my youth later.

That would include what I thought was a more satisfying second panel to this "Fantastic Four" sequence featuring the Thing versus Marvel Girl!!

Happy St. Paddy's To Ye!

WolfieToon Scruffies!

Okay!  Since I seem to have a break in my Real Time Adventures, and the Buggar Censors-- oh, pardon, I mean, the Blogger Censors seem to have decided not to quarantine our alleged adult blogs after all, I shall post!

I might even serial post!  'Cause post serials make breakfast a little bit better.

So-- this Li'l Bunny

featured in the WolfieToon at "DISCIPLINE & DESIRE" this week is:

A.  Singing a Joyful Ode to the Coming of Spring

B.  Demonstrating a Conniption Fit.

C. An active member of  an odd Lepus religious order.

D,  A Wolfie tribute to the "Bunny of Exuberance" that Dan Piraro frequently has in the background of his "Bizarro"cartoons!

E.  All of the above

If you answered "D," you are smack-on!

There is a long cartoon tradition of funny animals and sexy babes appearing together!  Here are just a few examples from fellas I greatly admire:

Frank Cho:

Dean Yeagle:

And Duane Bryers!

Once upon a time a lovely "D & D" member wrote and said she particularly enjoyed my "lovable, ugly, funny, scruffy pets!"

Hence, my buddy "Overbarrel" Phil took to calling the WolfieToon animals "Scruffies!"

Lady Larken calls them "A Furry Greek Chorus."

That is especially apropos in Paddle Cat's last appearance!  Behold his reaction to this tragedy!

You can see that he is aghast at the sad state of the spanking implement remnants.

No, no, no-- "aghast," that is, "struck with overwhelming shock and horror!"

But come to think of it, that ex-child sometimes reacts to spanking scenes, himself!

Anyway, Paddle Cat is one of my few recurring characters, and the only one with a Name.  At least I think so.

When frustrated Tops find that their hand is just not delivering the right sensation to the sensational Imp Behind below, P.C. appears, with a delight for their rears, and the concise advice,

Once there was even a Paddle Puppy!  Maybe she was a Beatin' Beagle?

If that dog also has some handcuffs nearby, then you have Locks and Beagles.

That hound might be reacting to the previous atrocious pun, or maybe he's just perplexed at people pleased by paddlin'!

But there are canines who fully appreciate it.  Like Snickerdoodles here.

Not all chickens do.

If that rooster says, "This is for the birds!" and scurries off, you have poultry in motion.

Which would also answer Chico Marx's question, "Why a duck?  Why-a no chicken?"

Yes, that's the Famous Spokes-Duck,

Here's a Famous Spanks Duck:

And that's about all I have to write about Scruffies for now.
