Sci Fi Saturday!

'Twas the late writer-editor-agent Forrest J. Ackerman, known to us fans of "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazine as "Uncle Forry," who coined the term "sci-fi," in a nod to then-current rage of "hi-fi" recordings.  A lot of hip fans now refer to the genre as "SF," but I've never been hip.

Some people look at the "inventions" of past speculative fiction and marvel at how they've "come true."  What I think happened is someone with technical skill thought, "What a great idea!  Wonder how I could actually make that?"

Surprisingly, I've never done a cartoon with Outer Space Aliens or BEMs! (Bug Eyed Monsters)  The closest I've come is the Creature enforcing the Black Lagoon sporting regulation, which Harry has kindly featured at this "Vanilla Spanking" post!  I have taken a George Lucas liberty and fixed the original colors a bit!

And here are a couple more in the "What If" vein!

But no Aliens?  Hmmmm...

(Singing) "And He Will Flip Her! Flip Her! Over his Knee~!"

Smacks of Science Fiction!

Welcome to the Future, Denizens of the 1950's!

This is the Year 2021 A.D., with wonders and marvels unimagined in your time!

The real reason for this post is to have you go check out Harry's latest entry, "The Spankings of Future Past!" over at Vanilla Spanking!

It's terrifically entertaining!

"Oh, William, the Pain! The Pain!!'

Today, the wonderful and redoubtable Erica Scott was musing on the alarming TV cartoon violence we Baby Boomers took in stride in our youth.  Taken seriously, of course, someone being flattened under a falling safe or having his nose blown off by a stick of dynamite would be horrific.

But my idea is that the alleged violence portrayed in the works of Messrs. Tex Avery, Chuck Jones, Dave Fleischer, et al., is hilarious because of the surprise, because it's so outrageously exaggerated, and, because it's so often Just Desserts for Reprehensible Characters, provides a satisfying release without anyone being really hurt.

As a demonstration, I'll rerun this particular WolfieTroon featuring Exaggerated and Unnecessary Cartoon Violence.  The Language, however, has been made Acceptable For All Audiences.

And Erica responded, "Okay, that's damn funny!"

Pajamas in Public?!

Public PJs have been a "thing" for a while now.  Tsk.

Larken asked me, "So, what's the difference between pajamas and sweatpants in public?!"

That could depend, of course, on the Jammies, but an important difference is,

Pajamas In Public are more likely to get you spanked!  🐺😜😁

(By the way, our store manager PJB is supposed to be a caricature of my dear friend

Go Fourth With Joy!

Or, if Joy can't go with you, take Maggie!

Anyway, THIS holiday seems a bit better than a year ago, eh?

I do have a new cartoon a-comin', but not really for Independence Day, so here are two that are so old they'll be new to some of you!  Seems I did three cartoons for the 4th of July my first year at "Discipline & Desire!"  Behold:

The first WolfieToons for "D&D" were a very cartoony style, because I thought it would be quicker to do.  I was wrong!
So the later ones were a little different!

Enjoy your holiday!

BANG!  BOOM!
and WANGO!

Wolfie's Strawberry Supermoons!

Tonight through Saturday we have a big, beautiful "Strawberry Supermoon" in the night sky.

Now, that just begs for something from me!

I didn't find out in time to do anything new for the event, but here are a couple of super strawberry moons to celebrate!
