Sci Fi Saturday!

'Twas the late writer-editor-agent Forrest J. Ackerman, known to us fans of "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazine as "Uncle Forry," who coined the term "sci-fi," in a nod to then-current rage of "hi-fi" recordings.  A lot of hip fans now refer to the genre as "SF," but I've never been hip.

Some people look at the "inventions" of past speculative fiction and marvel at how they've "come true."  What I think happened is someone with technical skill thought, "What a great idea!  Wonder how I could actually make that?"

Surprisingly, I've never done a cartoon with Outer Space Aliens or BEMs! (Bug Eyed Monsters)  The closest I've come is the Creature enforcing the Black Lagoon sporting regulation, which Harry has kindly featured at this "Vanilla Spanking" post!  I have taken a George Lucas liberty and fixed the original colors a bit!

And here are a couple more in the "What If" vein!

But no Aliens?  Hmmmm...

  1. That last one tickled me. I have been watching Lost in Space so that's the robot my brain automatically went to!

    1. Ha! Thanks, Fondles!
I recall when "Lost In Space" premiered in Prime Time in my halcyon youth! Then they started making it so silly, trying to emulate "Batman" without knowing why and how that show worked-- in fact, "Batman" forgot as it went along!-- that even as a remarkably unsophisticated eleven-year-old, I thought it channel-changing absurd!
But, as you see from a previous post title, I still quote Dr. Smith! :-D

  2. When you changed the colours on the blue lagoon you forgot to add the red to her bottom.
Lost in space certainly could use a spanking or two...especially the new version with Molly Parker !

    1. Nope, everything is just as I intended it this time, Glen'! It might be interesting to see Parker Posey OTK, but for me, NOT the original Dr. Smith, Johnathan Harris!! Oh my.
